Honeymoon - Day 1

Travel.  That's what we did.  We left Montesano at 9am and headed north shopping here and there along the way.  We crossed the border into Canada around 3 that afternoon.  Vancouver was huge, and I can't even imagine what rush hour traffic would be like in that city.  Lucky for us we only barely hit the beginning, so getting through wasn't too bad at all.

After getting through Vancouver, we kept traveling north on Highway 99 toward Squamish.  The road was beautiful, but unfortunately there were no pull outs on the north bound side of the road for us to grab any photos.  If we end up heading back the same way we came, I will take some then to share.

We arrived at Howe Sound Brewery just before 6, checked into our room and went for a nice cold brew, some wings and a bbq pork pizza (it had walnuts on it, heaven!).  Everything is made from scratch at the restaurant here, so we feel right at home. We weren't really feeling the beer last night, so we came back to the room and decided to go for a walk to see a little more of this small city.  I had mentioned maybe getting some ice cream and lucky me, there was a little gelato shop on our walk.

It was a pretty low key night, but just what we needed...some rest!

Awesome bridge heading into Vancouver.

Part of Vancouver, but not the main down town area.

View from our room. Squamish marina and Stawamus Cheif Providential Park.

Sweet little daybed lounge spot in our room.

See the hang glider?

Gelato? Yes please.

The news lady just said "aboot" on the tv.  Ah, Canada.  More to come!
